Known for their innovative approach, Alan and Sarah transform simple ingredients into culinary masterpieces, blending art and nature on every plate. Previously recognized with a Michelin Green Star at Pomet for their commitment to farm-to-table excellence, they are driven by a passion to elevate sustainable dining experiences. The craft of cooking and baking isn’t just about food—it’s about creating moments that matter, where every dish tells a story and every bite leaves an impression.
Chef Hsu's journey includes work at renowned restaurants like Benu in San Francisco, where he honed his skills, particularly in treating fruits and vegetables with exquisite care and detail. His mastery in these areas earned him recognition, including being named one of the 2022 StarChefs Rising Stars in San Francisco-Oakland, a prestigious accolade that celebrates up-and-coming talents shaping the future of American cuisine.
Pastry chef and baker Sarah Cooper's work includes the Culinary Institute of America Hyde Park to the legacy restaurant Per Se in New York City. In the San Francisco Bay area she has continued her passion for whole grain baking and sustainable agriculture at the Midwife and the Baker in Mountain View, Stemple Creek Ranch, in Tomales, and Pomet in Oakland with Chef Hsu to promote a more sustainable food system.
